James Watson - A&P/IA
James Watson founded Watson Aero in early 2015, with the intentions of bringing a full-time engine overhaul/heavy maintenance facility to the airport (2J3) of his home town of Louisville, Georgia. James got his start in aviation in high school as a loader for the local cropdusting business, mixing chemicals for the spray rigs and fueling the aircraft. It wasn't long before James caught the aviation bug and obtained a job building Van's RV's at a Van's builder-assist center, performing engine overhauls for the engines that were to be installed on the new RV's. Before starting Watson Aero, James spent several years serving as lead A&P mechanic at Cirrus Service Centers, performing troubleshooting, repair and heavy engine maintenance on Cirrus Aircraft. Watson Aero still specializes in the maintenance and repair of Cirrus Aircraft today!
James has been involved in the overhaul of aircraft engines for 10 years and provides over the phone tech support to anyone needing questions answered!
James is a veteran of the Marine Corps Reserve, where he served as a diesel mechanic, attaining the rank of Corporal. When he's not overhauling aircraft engines, James spends his time deer/dove hunting, running 5k races, playing guitar, watching college football and hanging out with is wife and son!
